STIWA Gebäudeautomation

Peneder and STIWA received the "Energiestar" in the category "Energy Innovations - from Upper Austria to the World" for their project for the energy-efficient production building for a Bavarian company. The factory features environment-friendly building and process cooling systems, renewable heating and highly automated production and intralogistics. The building permits 30 % energy savings compared to a standard solution.

This year, the first sports hall in passive building standard was built in Hagenberg. OEC partner AMS Engineering was responsible for the planning of energy supply, the building equipment and appliances. A pellet heating system with condensing boiler technology and solar collectors on the roof of the building are installed for hot water preparation and space heating. The construction costs of this sports hall were the same as for a conventional sports hall. However, due to the intensive planning, simulation and use of passive house standards, the operation costs are 70 % lower during the lifetime of the project.
