PAUAT architects

OEC partner Pauat was responsible for the refurbishment of the historic industrial site of OEC partner Fronius in Wels. An old brick building was renovated using passive building components and a new 3-floor building was constructed. The new complex features passive building standard insulation, ventilation systems with heat recovery, a heat pump and passive cooling. The heating demand of the ancient brick building was reduced from 225 kWh/m²a to max. 100 kWh/m²a. In 2012, the "Active Energy Tower" was set on top of the existing building. PV modules are integrated in its ventilated glass facade.

Pauat, an innovative architectural company, renovated a townhouse which they are now using as their new office. The energy autonomous building meets the passive building standard, has 18 m² vacuum tube collectors, 3 x 4,7 kWp photovoltaics and ground water use for cooling. The project was supported by the regional government of Upper Austria.
