Solar Keymark certification for Sunlumos plastic collectors OEC-News: November 2016

Sunlumo's One World Solar Collector has received the Solar Keymark certification, a Europe-wide quality certification. The collector was tested according to the norm EN 12975 and subjected to production quality control. Furthermore, the collector has been nominated for the federal "Ecodesign" award. Sunlumo has already received the German national "Ecodesign" award in the category "product" for its One World Solar Collector. The company has also won the Green Product Award 2016 in the category "Consumer Electronics".

ÖkoFEN: Pellematic e-max pilot project in Belgium OEC-News: November 2016

The Pellematic e-max, an electricity-generating pellet heating system for multi-family houses and commercial buildings, entered the pilot phase. The pilot installation will permit gaining experience outside of the company's own test lab and help further product development towards series production. The 55 kW boiler supplies heat to a single-family home in Bruges while generating up to 4.5 kW of electricity.
ÖkoFEN received the Golden Prize for Wood Central Heating Systems at the "Salon bois energie" in France.

Fronius: Partnership with Victron OEC-News: November 2016

Fronius and Victron Energy have synchronised parts of their product lines. The inverter chargers and charging controllers of the Dutch company permit PV-generated electricity to be temporarily stored in batteries. This enables a grid-independent, stable and constant supply of PV-electricity to small apartment buildings. This system was first installed in Kenya in summer.
Fronius is expanding its presence in the growing American market with a new branch office in the San Francisco Bay Area that is dedicated to product management, research & development and sales.

LandriTherm: Ski flying World Cup at Kulm and Davos OEC-News: November 2016

LandriTherm warm air heaters were installed in tents at the ski flying World Cup at Kulm in January. The EnergieGenie LA 150 P, which operates on pellets, won 2 awards in 2015 and was also used at other large events such as at the "World Economic Forum" in Davos. The LA 50 P used at Kulm has a capacity of 50 kW.

Internorm records Europe-wide growth OEC-News: November 2016

Internorm recorded once more Europe-wide growth for the 2015 fiscal year. The strongest performance was achieved in the UK/Ireland, Germany, France and Switzerland, followed by the home market of Austria. A significant increase in orders permitted the company to achieve a 4% higher turnover rate than the previous year. Internorm plans to invest 15 million euro in 2016.

European Pellet Conference 2016 OEC-News: November 2015

The European Pellet Conference, the largest annual pellet event worldwide, will take place from 24 - 25 February 2016 in Wels/Austria. Visited by over 600 experts each year, it is the meeting place for the global pellet community. The event delivers the latest news about markets, technologies and policies and provides valuable networking possibilities. The conference is held in parallel with the "Energiesparmesse", a leading energy tradeshow with more than 100 pellet-related exhibitors. The European Pellet Conference is organised by the OÖ Energiesparverband as part of the "World Sustainable Energy Days" (WSED), one of Europe’s largest annual conferences in the fields of energy.

International Training Seminar Biomass Heating 2015 OEC-News: November 2015

An international training seminar on biomass heating, organised by the OÖ Energiesparverband/Oekoenergie-Cluster, took place from 14 - 17 September 2015 in Linz, Austria. Based on the experience in Upper Austria, the 3-day seminar provided know-how on local market development and technologies for automatic biomass heating. The programme focused on small- to mid-scale wood pellets and wood chip projects. The seminar was targeted at representatives of businesses, public bodies, institutions, NGOs, etc. interested in developing local/regional biomass heating markets. The participants offered positive feedback about the seminar and enjoyed their stay in Upper Austria.
